Grade 6 students will regularly choose from a set of parallel numeracy tasks with varying levels of complexity. Levelled tasks will be designed with common concepts and students will have the opportunity to choose the task they feel has the most appropriate challenge for them. After completing each task, students will be given the opportunity to reflect on whether they chose the best task for them, allowing them to have a voice in personalizing their learning. Success indicators for this prototype include students frequently choosing tasks that will challenge them appropriately and placing more value on the learning process than just their final mark.
