In this assignment, students created Winter Counts. For each winter, or year they have been alive, students were to choose one significant event that took place from that year and then find an image that correlated with the event. This encouraged students to engage in conversation with their parents to determine significant life events that could be included in their winter count. In addition, students presented their projects to their classmates which provided them with an opportunity to share their stories with their classmates.
