How might we?:

How might we showcase and celebrate the exemplary teaching, learning and achievements at CHS?

Describe the prototype(s) your school will focus on. Get creative. Be sure to describe the various approaches staff will take, what you will keep your eye on and how staff plan to document their results.

  • Celebration of Learning events

  • Making awards visible

  • Celebrating a balance of all areas of the school

  • Class museums and visits

  • Signage updating around school

  • Bulletin Boards (showcasing student learning)

  • Transitions – tours for grade 9 students to gain an understanding and awareness of the school and staff - CTS Exploration Day (future grade 9's)

We will evaluate the following sources for evidence of increased positive recognition.

  • RVS Satisfaction Survey

  • Celebration of Learning (previous year)

  • Homecoming (previous year)

  • Bulletin Boards (monthly)

  • CHS school website with School Improvement Project feedback form

These feedback items will provide direction for future improvements within our Recognition Pillar efforts. This initiative will strive to create a balance between the historical legacy of the school and a celebration of our current staff and student body. Continued evaluation of school improvements, as well as staff and student recognition efforts will increase affective attachment of all stakeholders to our school community.
