How might we?:

Increase the probability of success for all students?

Describe the prototype(s) your school will focus on. Get creative. Be sure to describe the various approaches staff will take, what you will keep your eye on and how staff plan to document their results.

At the beginning of the school year, staff were introduced to six possible learning teams they could join. These teams are: Digital Literacy, Numeracy, Literacy, Instructional Design, Assessment, and Positive-Based Intervention Strategies

  • The learning teams are staff led and inter-departmental. 
  • Learning teams have choice about the focus of their work.
  • PLCs have common expectations for creating goals, strategies, and outcomes

What will we keep our eye on?

  • Staff ownership of the learning teams, collaboration in between Professional Learning days;
  • Reporting on goals, strategies and outcomes;
  • Impact on seeking student voice in decision making. 

How will staff document their results?

  • Staff will present a deliverable at our May PL day that shows the result of their work.
  • Staff feedback on the RVS Sat survey around professional learning
  • Student feedback on the RVS Sat survey
  • Student results on standardized tests.
