How might we?:
Use a Task Analysis as a tool for Grade Teams to share their practice & data.
Describe the prototype(s) your school will focus on. Get creative. Be sure to describe the various approaches staff will take, what you will keep your eye on and how staff plan to document their results.
We will plan to systematically implement a subtraction task analysis in January. Grade teams will complete, and have time to share the data, their findings, and their practice in relation to teaching subtraction.
We'll keep our eye on consistent patterns that we notice from students (both asset based and deficit based).
We have already kept our eye on the results and questions analysis from SMS, who had exceptional results (high above provincial and divisional) on their Math PAT's.
We will use the Task Analysis Tool as shared by the RVS Numeracy Team.
February Update: All teachers have completed the Task Analysis, and we have Grade Team discussions planned for the Feb. 14th PL Day.
