How might we maximize our school-based learning support model so all students can be successful? 


Describe the prototype(s) your school will focus on. Get creative. Be sure to describe the various approaches staff will take, what you will keep your eye on and how staff plan to document their results.

At BVHS we consolidated social-emotional support with academic support into the Student Success Centre. We are also offering courses that respond to student interests and needs. 

We will keep our eye on the number of students that choose to work in the Student Success Centre and asking, ‘Are new students accessing supports?’ We are exploring the way we identify and discuss needs of individual students introduction of Advisory class, so each student connects with another caring adult in the building Introduction of collaborative problem-solving model. 

In keeping with documenting our progress, students will sign into the Student Success Centre and the Learning Support Room Student. Staff surveys feedback on CPS model will inform our progress and we will make note of changes in student behaviour and academic achievement.
